Details
This round’s 130 grain jacketed hollow point projectile features an aggressively notched jacket, non-bonded yet exceedingly tough lead core, and unique center post which serves to promote more predictable terminal expansion.
Note that this is a +P cartridge. Its chamber pressure is higher than standard, which means it could very well destroy an antique revolver. It’s also due to generate greater recoil, but that’s the price you pay for a 38 Spl round which achieves a 900 fps muzzle velocity (Federal recorded that velocity with a 4” vented test barrel).
This ammo is loaded with specially formulated propellant and intensely reliable Boxer primers. Its new brass cases are plated with thin layers of nickel, which reduces friction that slows down extraction from a cylinder.
