Details
This range load has an uncomplicated 55 grain FMJBT projectile. Its core and its jacket are both nonmagnetic, and sturdy enough together that they won’t deform before leaving the barrel. The boat tail is essentially an accuracy-enhancing feature, which reduces drag force to promote a flatter trajectory. This bullet will fragment apart if it strikes soft tissue at close range, but it won’t technically expand. It’s best used for hunting game no larger than varmints (and maybe hogs, if you know how to hit the sweet spot).
American Eagle ammunition also features virgin brass cases, the very stuff handloaders need. This ammo is non-corrosive and loaded to achieve the classic M193 load’s 3,240 fps muzzle velocity.
